The month of May and a Mother’s Day Printable {FREE}

Now that the month of April is behind us, end of school term, Easter Weekend, Freedom Day, Workers Day, and another week of school holidays, it’s back to business as usual here at Buggaluggs – Made with love.

Looking ahead, we’ll all {hopefully} be standing in a queue to make our mark in the South African National and Provincial Elections this Wednesday 7th May, then soon after, celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday 11th May.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day.  This day was first arranged as a gathering for Mother’s who lost Son’s in the Civil War, coming together and sharing in their sorrow and rally for peace on war.  We’ve come a long way since then, but we still share the day with strong woman in celebration of all that makes us a Mother.

I’ve been pinning some idea’s for DIY Mother’s Day pressies.  I’m always of the opinion that home made pressies are well received and appreciated as Mom’s see the thought, time and love that goes into creating these gifts.  These don’t have to be tasteless gifts, and I’ve seen a few easy to do, lovely gifts I wouldn’t mind receiving myself.

I’ve been pinning a few idea’s for {Mother’s Day DIY Projects} to get you started with some inspiration.

To add a personal touch, I’ve also created a set of Free PDF Printable gift tags to add to your Mother’s Day DIY gifts, along with a postcard and a muffin/scone/croissant topper (or print it for another use?)

Celebrate your Mom and her strength and wisdom.  If you are a Mom yourself, and if like me have a little one who’ll be keen to “spoil you” on Mother’s Day, enjoy every moment of it!
